78 Degrees Muscat Finish (70cl)

78 Degrees Muscat Finish is an Australian whiskey in a 70cl bottle, finished in casks that previously held Liqueur Muscat. Muscat is the fortified wine of the Rutherglen area of northern Victoria. It is made from late-harvest grapes, partially fermented and then fortified with grape spirit, which leaves a higher residual sugar and a much sweeter style of wine. The wine spends five to twenty years or more in oak casks in the hot Australian climate. Once the wine is decanted, the empty casks remain rich in the character of the Muscat, with raisins and stewed fruit.
