A.D. Laws Four Grain Bottled in Bond is an 8 year old straight bourbon from Colorado, bottled at 50% ABV in a 75cl bottle. It is described as the first bonded bourbon in the state's history.
The mash bill is 60% corn, 20% heirloom wheat, 10% heirloom rye and 10% heirloom malted barley. It was aged for eight years or more in new 53 gallon charred oak barrels, and as a bottled in bond whiskey it is the product of a single season and a single distiller.
The nose is sweet and floral, with orange blossom, toffee and apricot jam. On the palate come black tea, orange, brown butter and dates, followed by a dry, lingering finish with notes of sandalwood.
