Aberlour 10 Year Old Forest Reserve is a Speyside single malt from the Aberlour Distillery, in a 70cl bottle. It is matured for ten years in bourbon barrels and sherry casks from Jerez.
The whisky then receives a finish in French Limousin oak casks. The Forest Reserve name refers to the distillery's commitment to looking after the local woodland.
The nose offers malted barley, soft red apples, ginger and heather honey. The palate brings cooked orchard fruit, vanilla custard, light oak and milk chocolate, with a faint peppery warmth. The finish is medium in length and dry, with dark cocoa and wood spice.
