Aberlour – 10 Year Old Forest Reserve (70cl, 40%)

Aberlour Forest Reserve is a 10 year old Speyside single malt, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. It matures for at least ten years in Oloroso sherry and American bourbon casks, then finishes in Limousin casks of French oak. It is non-chill-filtered and has added colouring. The name comes from the distillery's work to protect forests in Speyside. The distillery stands beside the River Spey and uses soft local spring water. The nose is spicy and fruity, with red apple and vanilla. On the palate it is soft and spiced, with apricot, nutmeg, clove and almonds.
