Aberlour 12 Year Old Double Cask Matured is a Speyside single malt, bottled at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is matured in a mix of traditional oak and sherry casks.
The pairing is described as rich and fruity, with notes of Christmas cake.
On the nose it is fresh and malty, with kirsch, almond and fruit stones, then leather and earth. The palate is malty with spice, followed by raisins, prunes, fruitcake and chocolate. The finish is medium and drier, with cloves, cinnamon and gingerbread.
