This is a 12 year old Speyside single malt from the Aberlour Distillery, bottled at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
It is matured in two types of oak: traditional oak casks and Oloroso sherry butts. The two parts are matured separately and then married together.
The nose brings sultanas and butterscotch, with baked red apple, light floral honey and a little oak spice. The palate is creamy and moderately full, with sherry-soaked dried fruit, vanilla, cinnamon, ginger and milk chocolate. The finish is medium to long, with sweet spice, dark cocoa and the dryness of sherry wood.
