Aberlour 13 Year Old Double Cask is a Speyside single malt bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring.
The whisky matures for thirteen years in two types of cask, oak and Oloroso sherry.
The nose offers spiced red apple, plum jam and honeydew melon, with cinnamon pastry, soft caramel and creamy vanilla custard behind. The palate brings freshly baked strudel with golden syrup, butterscotch and homemade raspberry jam, finished with a little ginger spice. The finish is sweet, juicy and gently spiced, and lasts well.
