This is an older bottling of Aberlour 18 Year Old, a Speyside single malt at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It was matured in a combination of ex-bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks.
The nose offers ripe peaches, dark chocolate and warm spices with a hint of butterscotch. The palate is rich and smooth, with honeyed fruit, sherry-soaked raisins and toasted almonds, rounded by soft oak and spice. The finish is long, with lingering dried fruit sweetness and gentle spice.
