Aberlour 18 Year Old is a Speyside single malt Scotch whisky, bottled at 43% in a 50cl bottle. Aberlour makes its single malts with local barley and soft water from nearby Ben Rinnes.
A deeper sherry influence brings spice and a liquorice tang, while the long maturation adds body and a rich raisin fruitiness.
The nose is rich and complex, with toffee and butterscotch alongside ripe peach and bitter orange. On the palate, soft apricot and cream give way to blackcurrant jam, sweet oak and a touch of honey. The finish is very long and balanced, moving from crème brûlée to a gentle oak note.
