This is a 21 year old Aberlour, independently bottled by Montgomerie's in a 70cl bottle at 46% ABV. It was distilled in February 1996, filled into a single bourbon hogshead, number 900053, and bottled in September 2017. It shows the Speyside distillery away from sherry casks.
The nose has apples and beer, summer fruits and pear drops. The palate is soft and light, with boiled sweets, and dries a little. The finish is light and dry.
