Aberlour – 30 Year Old 1989 The Perfect Fifth Equilibrium Cask 11050 (70cl, 51.5%)

This is a 30 year old single cask Speyside single malt from Aberlour, distilled in 1989 and bottled in 2020. It comes from cask 11050, is bottled at a cask strength of 51.5% ABV, and is released as The Perfect Fifth Equilibrium in a 70cl bottle. The nose is typically described as fruity, with galia melon, orange marmalade and nectarines, alongside flower honey, pickled lemons and a little fennel. On the palate come oranges, mango and a touch of rose water, with some spice, honey, shortbread and fresh mint. The finish is long, with stewed apples, beeswax, strawberries and oak.
