Aglianico Campi Taurasini DOC Costa Baiano - Villa Raiano

A Campi Taurasini DOC red wine from Villa Raiano, made from Aglianico grapes grown in a single amphitheatre-shaped vineyard of about nine hectares at 500 metres altitude in Castelfranci. After destemming, the grapes ferment and macerate for about ten days in steel tanks, then age in cement tanks and terracotta amphorae. It is bright ruby red with violet reflections, with small red fruits, blueberry, currant, liquorice, balsamic and spicy notes. On the palate it is fresh, savoury and well structured, with firm tannins. It pairs well with rich sauces and grilled meats.
