Akashi 10 Year Old Sherry Cask is a Japanese single malt from White Oak Distillery, matured for 10 years in a sherry cask. The cask brings dried fruits, sherry and winter spices, with raisins and plums alongside richness and spice. The nose has cracked pepper, Christmas cake, creamed corn, blackcurrants and balsamic. The palate is rich despite its youth, with sweetened tea, nutmeg, cocoa, creamed sherry and tangy orange. The finish returns to creamed sherry, with peppermint, tobacco, raisins and orange.
