Akashi Red is a Japanese whisky from Eigashima Sake Brewing Co., bottled at 40% ABV in a 50cl bottle. It is bright amber in colour.
The nose offers vanilla and honey, with hints of apricot and nuts. The palate is clean and soft, followed by chestnuts, spiced oak and salted caramel.
The finish is long, with a salty note that pairs well with seafood.
