Akashi Toji (70cl, 40%)

Akashi Toji is a Japanese blended whisky from the White Oak Distillery, which is run by Eigashima Shuzo Co. Ltd. It is bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. The distillery brings traditional sake-making methods into whisky production, and this blend is made with smaller stills, which lower the level of fusel alcohols. It is chill-filtered and has no added colouring. The nose offers honey, pepper and vanilla with a light touch of peat. On the palate honey meets chocolate, pepper, oak, vanilla and dried fruit. The finish is longer, with honey, spices and cinnamon.
