Amahagan Madoromi Barmaid (Sleepy Barmaid) Kiho Ibuki (70cl, 47%)

Amahagan Madoromi Barmaid Kiho Ibuki is a blended malt from Nagahama Distillery in Shiga, Japan, released on 12 July 2022 in a 70cl bottle. It is the second release in a collaboration with the manga Madoromi Barmaid. The blend is based on sherry cask whisky from Nagahama, combined with some malt whisky from overseas distilleries, and includes smoky malt at about 50ppm. It is bottled at 47%. The nose shows cinnamon, dry malt, orange, chocolate bitterness, persimmon and chestnut. The palate is oily and robust, with orange, chestnut and raspberry and strawberry sweetness, and the finish is malty and roasted.
