Amahagan – World Malt Whisky Edition No.3 Mizunara Wood Finish (70cl, 47%)

Amahagan Edition No.3 is a Japanese malt whisky finished in Mizunara wood. It is bottled at 47% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The malt sweetness comes from Nagahama new-make, and the Mizunara adds a fragrant woodiness that builds as the whisky opens up in the glass. The nose is sweet, with orange, red apple, caramel and sweet oak. On the palate are brown sugar and baked orange cake, followed by a growing dark chocolate bitterness. The finish is long, with crisp citrus, warm oak and bitter dark chocolate.
