Amrut – AC Selection Cask BA2025-01 Raw Cask by Blackadder (70cl, 63.6%)

This is a single malt from Amrut, the Bangalore distillery established in 1948 and regarded as the pioneer of Indian single malt. Blackadder International bottled it in 2025 at a cask strength of 63.6%, in a 70cl bottle. It is a selection by Master Distiller Ashok Chokalingam, from cask BA2025-01, with 125 bottles filled. The whisky carries no age statement and reflects maturation in India's warm climate. It is described as intense and viscous, with tropical peach, jammy apricot, vanilla caramel and malty depth, finishing on warming oak char and pepper.
