Amrut – Fusion Single Malt Whisky (75cl)

Amrut Fusion is a single malt whisky from the Amrut distillery in India, sold in a 75cl bottle. It is a heavily oaked malt in which smoke and peat play a large part. No sherry butts were involved in its making, although a sherry trifle note still turns up on the palate alongside vanilla and barley fruitiness. The nose is thickly oaked and complex, with barley-sugar notes wrapped in soft smoke. The palate moves from smoke to full peat and then to intense chocolate fudge, and the finish is dry with oak, molasses sweetness and spice.
