This is a peated Indian single malt from Amrut Distilleries in Bangalore, bottled at a cask strength of 62.8% ABV in a 750ml bottle. It is made with Scottish peated barley at about 23 ppm.
The whisky matured for four to five years in oak in Bangalore, at an altitude of around 3,000 feet. It is non-chill-filtered, of natural colour and carries no age statement.
The nose offers gristy smoked barley, kippers with salted butter and a peppery bite. The palate is youthful and malty, with drier oak notes. The finish brings peat, medium-roast coffee, a trace of bourbon, soft liquorice and molassed sugar.
