Amrut – Fusion Indian Single Malt (70cl, 50%)

Amrut Fusion is an Indian single malt in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 50%. It is distilled from a blend of unpeated Indian barley and peated Scottish barley. Two whiskies are matured separately in barrel for four years, then married together for three months. It is dense and richly oaked, with barley sugar and soft smokiness that builds to a full blast of peat. Sherry trifle, custard and chocolate fudge sit alongside the barley fruitiness, and the finish is slightly dry from peat and oak, balanced by molasses sweetness.
