Amrut – Fusion Single Malt Whisky (70cl, 50%)

Amrut Fusion is a golden Indian single malt in a 70cl bottle at 50% abv. It is made from a mix of peated Scottish barley malt and unpeated Indian malt, mashed and distilled separately, then matured in old and new American oak casks. It is usually bottled after about four years, as the hot Indian climate takes roughly 12% a year in evaporation. The aroma has a hint of vanilla, oak, fruit and fine peat, and the palate balances sweet, spicy and peaty flavours. The finish is fruity and smoky, and it lingers.
