Amrut Indian Single Malt is the flagship bottling of the Amrut distillery in India, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It is made from barley grown in fields close to the Himalayas.
The whisky is described as a vatting of different cask maturations, including ex-bourbon barrels and PX sherry butts.
The nose is burnt honeycomb and toffee with a little liquorice. The palate is rich, with fruit, spice and barley-oak sweetness, and the finish is long, with layered oak spice and cream toffee.
