Amrut Intermediate Sherry Matured is an Indian single malt bottled at cask strength, 57.1%, in a 700ml bottle. It is matured in sherry casks.
The nose is moist cake, fruit and spice, with freshly waxed oak, and a sherry and bourbon character running through it. On the palate, oak forms the structure for juicy sultana and spice, with barley coming through and a theme of liquorice, orange and honeycomb. The finish is long and elegant, with natural caramel.
