Amrut – Intermediate Sherry Matured Cask Strength (70cl, 57.1%)

This is a cask strength Indian single malt from Amrut, matured in sherry casks and bottled at 57.1% in a 70cl bottle. The nose offers moist cake, fruit and spice, with freshly waxed oak. On the palate, oak gives the structure while juicy sultanas and spices build over it, and the barley comes through firmly. Liquorice, orange and honeycomb run quietly beneath. The finish is long and elegant, with natural caramel softening the more lively notes.
