Amrut – Kadhambam Single Malt

Amrut Kadhambam is an Indian single malt that vats ordinary and peated Amrut together. Kadhambam means 'mixture' or 'combination', which describes the make-up of the whisky. It began in ex-oloroso casks, then moved into brandy casks and finally into rum casks. The brandy and the rum were both produced at Amrut as well. The nose is rich and floral, with honey, nuts, new oak, vanilla, citrus and tropical fruit. On the palate come candied fruit, subtle oak, a light dusting of peat and well-integrated spice. The finish is warming, complex, dry and long.
