Amrut Kranthi is a single malt from Amrut Distilleries in Bangalore, India, launched in 2026 to mark what the distillery calls the Indian single malt whisky revolution. Kranthi is the Hindi word for revolution.
It is made with a proprietary yeast strain developed by the distillery and matured in new American oak barrels, ex-bourbon casks, Madeira casks and oloroso sherry casks. It carries no age statement, is non-chill-filtered and is bottled at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle, supplied in a presentation tube.
Tropical fruit, pomelo and coconut lead the palate, followed by warm spice, gentle tannins and a creamy finish.
