Amrut – Little Greedy Angels 8 Year Old (70cl, 50%)

Little Greedy Angels is an 8 year old Indian whisky from Amrut, bottled at 50% in a 70cl bottle to mark the 60th birthday of the distillery's Chairman, Neel Jagdale. Amrut rarely ages its whiskies beyond four years, so this draws on some of the distillery's oldest stocks. Evaporation in India runs at around 10 to 15% a year, against about 2% in a cooler climate such as Scotland, and over 250 litres were lost in this experiment. Long ageing also risks the spirit becoming overly woody. The whisky was crafted by Master Distiller Ashok Chokalingam.
