Amrut Peated Cask Strength is an Indian single malt bottled at 62.8% in February 2009, in a 70cl bottle.
The nose is gristy smoked barley with kippers in salted butter and a peppery bite. The palate opens youthful, then turns intensely malty and closes on drier oak. The finish is gentle on peat, with sugarless medium-roast Mysore coffee, soft liquorice and molassed sugar.
