Amrut Peated is an Indian single malt bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It is golden yellow in colour.
The nose is unusually dry peat, likened to peat smoke absorbed by an old leather armchair, with a hint of citrus. The palate opens with molassed sugar before the peat builds, becoming drier and spicier while the molasses holds its ground.
The finish is clean and clear, with butterscotch and vanilla wrapped around the phenols.
