Amrut – Spectrum Indian Single Malt Whisky (70cl, 50%)

Amrut Spectrum is an Indian single malt whisky, bottled at 50% in a 70cl bottle. It starts its maturation in an ex-bourbon barrel and is then moved to a custom-built barrel made from four kinds of oak: American oak with level three charring, French oak with slight toasting, and ex-Oloroso sherry and ex-PX sherry staves. Only 6000 bottles were released. The nose leads with dried mango and vanilla, supported by star anise, burnt oak and caramel. On the palate are sandalwood and more vanilla among caraway, blackberry jam and coconut cream. The finish keeps dried fruit and vanilla sponge.
