Amrut Spectrum is an Indian single malt bottled at 50% in a 70cl bottle, with an outturn of 6000 bottles.
The whisky is first matured in an ex-bourbon barrel, then moved to a custom-built barrel made from four kinds of oak: American oak with level three charring, French oak with slight toasting, and ex-Oloroso and ex-PX sherry staves.
On the nose it shows dried mango and vanilla, with star anise, burnt oak and caramel. The palate brings sandalwood, caraway, blackberry jam and coconut cream, and the finish carries dried fruit and vanilla sponge.
