Amrut Two Continents 3rd Edition is an Indian single malt whisky, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle and golden yellow in colour.
The barley is grown in India's North West Provinces and travels over 2,500 km to Bangalore, at more than 3,000 feet above sea level, where the malt is distilled and matured. The whisky is then shipped some 9,000 km to Europe for further maturation in a cooler climate, which gives the bottling its name.
The notes describe a nose of suet pudding, oils and banana milkshake. The palate is juicy barley, soft fruit and persistent spice with muscovado sugar and chocolate milkshake, and the long finish ends on vanilla.
