An Orkney 11 Year Old 2013 Lady of the Glen Single Cask (63.6%)

This is an 11 year old single cask Orkney single malt from Lady of the Glen, distilled in 2013 and matured in a single first-fill bourbon cask. It is bottled at a natural cask strength of 63.6%, without chill-filtration and without colour adjustment, in an edition of 203 numbered bottles. The nose offers bonfire smoke and sea air, with flower honey, lemon zest, vanilla pod, coconut and a hint of salted seaweed. The palate is silky, with toffee apple, sweet malt, fresh citrus, black pepper and toasted almonds, and light smoke throughout. The finish is medium in length, with salted caramel, gentle oak spice and a touch of peat smoke.
