Highland Park 18 Year Old Viking Pride is a lightly peated Orkney single malt bottled at 43%. It was given the Viking Pride name in 2017.
The whisky is matured in a high proportion of first-fill sherry-seasoned European and American oak. The nose offers orange zest, Madeira cake, raisins, sultanas, apricot pie, heather honey and soft smoke, with nutmeg and clove. The palate has orange drizzle cake, brown sugar, milk chocolate, baking spices and white and yellow fruits.
The finish is long and warming, with smouldering peat, oak and a touch of herbal smoke and citrus oil.
