A 12 year old Highland Park single malt from a 1990s bottling. It is light caramel in colour.
The nose is airy and fruity, with orange and noticeable apple, a delicate smokiness and a cereal character. Putty, grapefruit, mint leaf and chilli flakes follow.
The palate is dense and oily, with spent tobacco, traces of smoke, red grapes, black olives, chocolate digestives and oats. Treacle and charcoal come through before a rubbery dryness at the end.
