Anderson Club 15 Years Old 1990s Pre-Fire Heaven Hill Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey (75cl, 43%)

This is a 15 year old Kentucky straight bourbon from Heaven Hill, sold under the Anderson Club name in the 1990s and bottled at 43% (86 proof). It was first released for the Japanese market and comes from the pre-fire period of Heaven Hill. It is a sour mash bourbon, charcoal filtered in the way now known as the Lincoln County Method. The mash bill is undisclosed but thought to be 78% corn, 10% rye and 12% malted barley. The nose has cherry and vanilla layered with mint. The palate brings caramel, apricots in vanilla cream and spiced liquorice.
