Angel's Envy Bottled-in-Bond is an unfinished Kentucky straight bourbon from Louisville, bottled at 100 proof (50% ABV) in a 75cl bottle. It shows the Henderson family's base bourbon without the port finish used for the brand's flagship.
The mash bill is high-rye: 72% corn, 18% rye and 10% malted barley. It was aged for nearly six years in new charred American oak and meets the Bottled-in-Bond standard.
The nose offers caramel, vanilla bean, brown sugar, cracked pepper and cinnamon. The palate is full-bodied and warming, with baked apple, toasted oak and subtle leather, and the finish is long, with sweet oak, dark caramel and peppery heat.
