Angel's Envy Bourbon America's 250th Anniversary Collector's Reserve Edition (75cl, 43.3%)

This is Angel's Envy Kentucky Straight Bourbon, finished in ruby port wine barrels from Portugal and bottled at 43.3% ABV in a 75cl bottle. The edition marks the 250th anniversary of the United States, and the back of the bottle carries a custom engraving with the dates 1776 to 2026, stars, laurel branches and an eagle crest. The bourbon is aged in new charred American oak before moving to the port casks, where it takes on dark fruit, raisin and maple sweetness. The nose combines vanilla, raisins, maple syrup and toasted nuts with a soft port note. On the palate there is ripe fruit, vanilla, maple, bitter chocolate and smooth oak. The finish is clean and lingering, with gentle port sweetness and warm spice.
