Angel's Envy Port Barrel Finished Bourbon is a Kentucky straight bourbon from Louisville, bottled at 43.3% in a 750ml bottle. It was created by Lincoln Henderson, a master distiller with decades at Brown-Forman, together with his son Wes Henderson.
The bourbon, made from 72% corn, 18% rye and 10% malted barley, is aged for up to six years in new American oak. It then spends three to six months in French oak ruby port barrels imported from Portugal.
The nose brings maple syrup, vanilla, plum, cherry and cranberry. The palate is sweet, with caramel, honey, red fruit and toasted nuts, and the finish is clean and lingering, with vanilla and dried fruit.
