Angel's Envy Triple Oak is a Kentucky straight bourbon from Louisville Distilling Company, bottled at 46% in a 75cl bottle.
The base bourbon is made from 72% corn, 18% rye and 10% malted barley, and matures for four to six years in toasted American white oak barrels with a number 3 char. It then spends about six months in Hungarian and Chinkapin oak, followed by roughly three months in French oak.
The nose brings ripe apricot, toasted oak and honeysuckle. On the palate there are crème brûlée, black cherry and baking spice, and the long finish carries burnt brown sugar, orange zest and nutmeg.
