Angel's Envy Cask Strength is the Louisville distillery's once-a-year release of its port barrel-finished Kentucky straight bourbon, bottled without dilution at 61.2% ABV in a 750ml bottle. This is the 2019 edition.
The bourbon was finished in Ruby Port barrels and bottled at full cask strength, rather than being proofed down as the standard Angel's Envy is.
The nose is dark cherry, vanilla, toffee and warm cinnamon. On the palate come dark berry fruit, caramel and baking spice over a bold bourbon base. The finish is very long, with port fruit, spice and oak.
