Angel's Envy Cellar Collection Vol. 5 is a straight rye whiskey bottled at 52.1% ABV in a 750ml bottle. It is the fifth release in the Cellar Collection series.
The rye was aged for six and a half to seven years, then finished for up to 12 months in French oak Extra Añejo tequila barrels. These are hybrid casks with French oak heads and American oak staves, which previously held Patrón Extra Añejo for four years. The result was blended with an 11-year-old rye.
The nose is floral and fruity with toasty vanilla and agave honey. The palate brings baking spices, black pepper and tropical fruit, and the finish is soft, with orange blossom honey.
