Angel's Envy (43.3%)

Angel's Envy is a Kentucky Straight Bourbon from Louisville, founded by master distiller Lincoln Henderson and bottled at 86.6 proof. It is aged for four to six years in new American white oak barrels, then moved for up to six months into ruby Port casks from Portugal's Douro Valley. The bourbon is blended twice, once before the Port finish and once after. The nose is subtle, with vanilla, raisins, maple syrup and toasted nuts. On the palate come vanilla, ripe fruit, maple syrup, toast and bitter chocolate. The finish is clean, with lingering sweetness and a hint of Madeira that slowly fades.
