Angel's Envy Kentucky Straight Bourbon, bottled at 43.3%. It matures in new charred American white oak, then spends three to six months in Ruby Port casks made from French oak, which adds fruit and a soft texture.
The nose has vanilla, dark raisins and roasted nuts, with maple syrup and light wood. On the palate come creamy vanilla, sweet maple syrup and dark chocolate, with fruit and gentle sweetness from the port finish. The finish is long, with soft liqueur-wine notes and a balance between bourbon and port.
