This is a Kentucky straight bourbon from Angel's Envy, launched in September 2024 as the first new addition to its Signature Series in over ten years. It was aged in new American oak barrels, then finished in a blend of Hungarian, Chinkapin and French oak casks. Master Distiller Owen Martin experimented with blend ratios to combine the three. French oak is described as adding baking spice, Chinkapin caramel and vanilla, and Hungarian oak toasted nuts, honey and dried fruit. It is bottled at 46% (92 proof) in a 70cl bottle. The nose is ripe apricot with toasted oak and honeysuckle. The palate has baking spices, brioche, vanilla custard, red plum, tobacco and leather. The finish is spiced, with nutmeg, black pepper, cardamom, brown sugar and molasses.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
