Antica Torre Acquavite di Albicocche Affinata (50cl)

An apricot eau de vie from Distilleria Agricola Antica Torre, made in the Monregalese area at the foot of the Langhe. It is made from apricots grown by the distillery and from fruit selected from local farms, with artisanal processing and double distillation in a simple discontinuous steam still. The distillate is then aged for five months in a 100-litre oak cask. In the glass it is clear with a pale straw-yellow colour. The nose is intense and immediately recognisable, dominated by fresh apricot with light floral notes. On the palate it is soft, harmonious and enveloping, with the wood adding structure without masking the fruit, which remains the focus through to a long, elegant finish.
