Archie Rose Rye Malt Whisky is an Australian rye whisky made in Sydney from rye grown in New South Wales. The grain is malted in-house, and the spirit is matured in virgin American oak and Australian apera casks. It is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle.
The nose brings baking spice, roasted grain and dark honey, with clove, cherry and dried orange peel. On the palate, cinnamon, nutmeg and pepper sit alongside toffee, vanilla and malted bread, with a hint of fruit and oak smoke. The finish is long and warming, with lingering spice, cocoa and a gentle dryness.
