Ardbeg Anthology The Unicorn's Tale is a 14 year old Islay single malt, the second edition in the Anthology collection. It matured in a combination of Madeira and bourbon casks and is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle.
Smoke is strong, with sharp lime flavours balanced by gentle barley and cedar wood. The nose is rich and sweet, with molasses and cedar, and a drop of water brings out tropical fruit, eucalyptus oil and soft smoke. On the palate come lime, sweet peaches, smoked fruit, baked bread, creosote, aniseed and nutmeg. The finish is long, with clear Madeira influence, menthol, clove, wood smoke and camphor.
