Traigh Bhan 19 Year Old Batch 5 is an Ardbeg single malt distilled on 12 February 2004 and bottled on 3 May 2023 at 46.2%. It was matured in American oak casks and ex-oloroso sherry casks, and this batch leans towards tropical fruit while keeping Ardbeg's smoke.
Mango, guava, coconut, maple bacon and incense smoke lead the nose. The palate is sweet and smoky, with exotic fruit, caramel, leather and spice. The long finish brings peat, soft tar and a note of wax.
